The Emap Fanzine Awards are all about celebrating and rewarding the creativity of the thriving fanzine scene, part of our endless quest to find people who are as mad about magazines as we are!

We believe magazines are only as good as the people that work on them and want to reward the ingenuity, honesty and passion behind independently produced publications.

The judging for this year's awards has recently taken place and, after much deliberation and heated discussion, they came to a final decision.

It was an immensely difficult task narrowing down the 100's of entries because there was so much talent on show. The excellent standard of this year's entries proves that the fanzine and independent press up and down the length of the UK is flourishing.

The awards party, held on the 1st March, was an invaluable opportunity to celebrate the success of the winners, runners-up and nominees. As the drinks flowed, an aclectic mix of people had a chance to network with each other and Emap editors.
